Loofa Sponge (Luffa)

Grown here on our farm, Loofa sponges are the perfect natural approach for bathing and can replace the traditional plastic shower puffs. Natural loofahs create gentle friction, making them perfect for helping along the process of shedding dead skin cells and increasing localised blood flow (improving circulation), effectively tackling dull-looking skin. Simply soak them in water to soften, and lather up with your favourite soap bar!

Loofas can also be used for cleaning and scouring as the fibers are firm when dry, but soften when wet. 

Increase the lifespan of your loofah by air drying between washes...hang it up on the handy cotton string! It can also be machine washed, if needed, then left to air dry. You can even occasionally soak your loofah in warm water with a few drops of peppermint essential oil - not only will it smell great, the oil has antimicrobal properties that help to deter bacterial growth.

Loofas are 100% biodegradable so when the loofah reaches the end of its life, you can safely compost it, or dispose of it.  As these are naturally grown gourds, size, shape and color will all vary slightly.  While we try to remove all seeds, some may remain but will work themselves out with use.   Each sponge is approx 4-6" long.
